I've been a little MIA for the last few weeks. I guess I just didn't really have anything important to write about, so I just didn't write. Taking a break once in a while is definitely needed.
Here is what I have been up to lately. And some random info. You know, one of those posts.
++ Work has been busy and I'm traveling this week. Seattle is extremely gloomy and rainy and I am already missing the CA sunshine. It was 70 this past weekend. Almost too warm to wear jeans.
++ I haven't been home in a month and it was so amazing to get out of the city this weekend and spend time with our families. I get really tired of the city after being there for too long and just need some fresh air.
++ He is the cutest thing ever and I just can't get enough of him. I can't believe that he is going to be 2 in June. He still seems like such a "puppy" to me.
++ I finished with my trainer and I am so happy with what I have learned and what has come out of this whole experience. I lost about 28 pounds and feel and look so much better. I'm still working out just as hard and trying to eat like I have been because I'm not finished yet. Still working up the courage to show the before and after picture. Let me just say that they are pretty shocking.
++ We are going to Maui again this summer and I am so excited. I can't wait and 6 months is to far away to think about it as much as I have been.
++ Evan and I are going to Disneyland in April. Pretty random, but for Christmas, instead of gifts, we just decided to go on a trip early this year for the weekend and we were thinking of somewhere to go, and we both haven't been to Disneyland in years, so why the hell not! I'm pretty excited.
++ I also planned a little girls' weekend in Vegas in June and I'm excited to spend the weekend in Vegas. I haven't been in about 2 years, and Rhonda (that is my crazy alter ego) likes to come out and get wild every now and then (and I literally mean like once in a blue moon). It won't be that kind of weekend seeing as though this particular friend and I have pretty high standards and we are staying in a pretty nice hotel and going to Cirque du Soleil and to nice dinners. Not so much "clubbing".
++ I volunteered at a school auction for my best friend's sister in law this weekend and somehow, we ended up with a cake in our room after the LONGEST, HARDEST volunteer hours ever and when you are THAT hungry and THAT tired, all that sounds good is a hot bath and a chocolate cake, so we did just that. Got in the bath and tore this cake up. Then got in bed and fell asleep immediately. I mean, don't tell me you wouldn't have done the same thing.
(don't worry, we cut out a pretty big piece to take home so this was not ALL eaten by us)
++ Is anyone else kind of glad the Olympics are over? I like watching them and all, but I'm just kind of over it. Also, I feel like some of the sports are just so random. You can't argue that bobsledding takes more athletic ability than ice skating or skiing... you just can't.
Hope everyone had a great weekend.
